Editing of Article Page 2

Once the plan for Article page 2 of my magazine was ready, I immediately started making the magazine. Firstly, I added the selected picture for this page on a blank slide and cropped it so that the unwanted background space was removed: I then placed the picture on the top right of the page: Following the style of article page 1, I decided to crop the image in half and keep a semi-circle shape of the dish: Once this was done, I added the remaining text of the article in font "Cambria" with font size being 14 in color black and the second picture selected for this page on the slide: Once again, following the way I aligned the text on article page 1, I started aligning it similarly on this page too with image 1: The second picture that I selected for this page was really good, however, it was getting difficult to align it in the bottom which is why I tried on a different picture which was horizontal. This picture perfectly fit into the remaining space which is why I decided on...

Editing of Article Page 1

As mentioned in my blog where I show where I got the inspiration for Article page 1, here's how I brought out the idea in my magazine: Firstly, I added the edited image which I've shown in my previous blog on a plain white background: I then added the title of my article on the top of the page in the font "Bernard MT Condensed" with font size being 48:   I then started adding the text of my article from a word document which I wrote it in, and aligned it according to the curves of the image. For this activity, I made use of the space bar and enter key for the text to be aligned properly: I then added an arrow shape in the bottom with the page number to indicate that the article continues on the next page: Since the color of the page was too simple, I decided on adding a little shade or variation to it. In the picture format tab, I went in the "Color" option and selected the Color tone: "Temperature: 5900 K": For the title of the article to look...

Starting with the editing of the design page, I first added pale orange color which I took from the web to the slide: I then inserted the image I selected for this page on the slide: After this step, I increased the transparency of the image for the "tint" effect to appear:

Editing of Content Page

Coming to one of the most attractive pages in my magazine, this one took a while! Here is how I edited the content page of my magazine: To start off, I selected a pale grey color from the web for the background of the page as I thought that white would look too simple and plain: I added this colored page to my magzine: Following my inspiration from "GoodFood" magazine, I added two border line to the page: I used this particular tool for adding the lines:  I then added the name of my magazine, "EPICURE" and the text "CONTENTS" in the top left box. I edited the text "EPICURE" to be of size 32, in the font "Time New Roman" and in the color "Orange, Accent 2". For the text "CONTENTS", I kept it in plain black, in the font "Aptos" with a font size 48. I then added the finalized picture for Image 1 on the Content page in top left of the left column: Next, I added the second picture I finalized for the content pa...

Final Look of the Cover Page

Editing of Cover Page

Image
Taking a lot of inspiration from different magazines, both physical copies and digital ones, I started making the cover page of my magazine: First I added the picture that I finalized for the cover page of my magazine on a blank slide: Next, I added the name of my magazine at the top in font size 120 and in the color "Gold Accent 4". I was dicey about the type of font to be used so I tried several of them. I went for fonts in both plain and cursive: 1. Tenorite: 2. Algerian 3. Amasis MT Pro Black 4. Times New Roman 5. Baguet Script 6. Informal Roman  I decided on finalizing the 4th font type, "Times New Roman" as it looked simple, decent, clean and also very classy to me. I thought that since the color of the font already made it stand out, adding a funky font would make it look too flashy which is why I went with "Times New Roman".
