As mentioned in my previous blog, my house is filled with food magazines, so I had the privilege to take inspiration from a proper paperback of a magazine! However, my mom has majorly only BBC GoodFood Magazine which limits my research. This is why I also searched on the web for different brands of food magazines. I started by browsing through food magazines, both online and off. I skimmed through several covers. Their purpose was the same, whether they were strikingly colorful or more subdued: to draw your attention and entice you to pick up the magazine. During my research, I discovered a few interesting things. Firstly, the mouthwatering images of food on the covers resembled little narratives just waiting to be discovered. I was famished just by glancing at them! Then I noticed the layout of the headlines and titles; some were large and bold, while others had a more whimsical and artistic feel. "Hey, there's something interesting inside!" was what they all attempted to say to me. What more did I learn? Yes, the colors and typefaces chosen for the covers were crucial.
