Hey there reader! How’s it going? Welcome to my blog where you’ll get to see the entire process of my Media Studies AS Project along with other activities I engage in as my interest. But before we get into that, let’s give you an introduction of who you’ll be reading about!

This is Nishita Lotlikar and you are most welcomed to my blog! I’m currently 15 and studying at B.K Gadia A level Junior college in Mumbai. I completed my schooling years in Pinnacle High International School. I’m a dancer, singer, actor, artist and a swimmer. As an individual, I support what’s right when it comes to equality, love for animals, providing the poor, standing up for human rights and changing the wrong mindset of people. My aim is to spread awareness and turn the world towards positivity. I know I’m a minor right now, but I do see myself influencing people positively in the future!

Research and Analysis of Cover Pages in Food Magazines

I started by browsing through food magazines, both online and off. I skimmed through several covers. Their purpose was the same, whether they were strikingly colorful or more subdued: to draw your attention and entice you to pick up the magazine. During my research, I discovered a few interesting things. Firstly, the mouthwatering images of food on the covers resembled little narratives just waiting to be discovered. I was famished just by glancing at them! Then I noticed the layout of the headlines and titles; some were large and bold, while others had a more whimsical and artistic feel. "Hey, there's something interesting inside!" was what they all attempted to say to me. What more did I learn? Yes, the colors and typefaces chosen for the covers were crucial.
